What We Did
Caretaker of Water and People
Desalcott, the desalination giant of Trinidad and Tobago, plays a crucial role in supplying water to vast areas of the country. As the sole provider to the government, their pivotal role has historically negated the need for traditional advertising. For World Water Day 2024, we collaborated with Desalcott to craft their first-ever television campaign. The message? A succinct and powerful statement that positions Desalcott as both a caretaker of Trinidad's vital water resources and a protector of the people who rely on it every day.
Video
The video balances cinematic and point-of-view shots, seamlessly transitioning between expansive landscapes and close,
intimate macro views. The pacing alternates between dynamic movements and still moments, all focused on one central theme:
water as a human right. This interplay of perspectives creates a deeply human narrative that resonates with the importance of water in our daily lives.
Music
The music score is dynamic, slowly building in intensity. The piece was performed by live musicians organically responding to each other. The result is a score that feels alive, full of nuance, and deeply connected
to the message. Sound design by Colony enhances the emotional depth, amplifying the drama inherent in the narrative.
