What We Did
Concept to Life
Stam Audio, renowned for its precision-engineered studio recording and mixing equipment, challenged us to craft a custom knob that would not only reflect the craftsmanship behind their gear but also provide a distinct and intuitive user experience. Inspired by the profile of a guitar pick, our head of design worked closely with Stam Audio's founder to create a signature knob that married form and function, delivering ergonomic precision and long-lasting performance, while standing out as a true visual icon.
The design process was an exploration of precision and craft. Over the course of a year, we developed and refined several sizes of knobs, ensuring each iteration brought us closer to achieving the perfect balance between ergonomics and aesthetics. Every detail was meticulously considered, from the feel of the knob in the user’s hand to the way it seamlessly integrated with Stam Audio’s high-quality equipment. After numerous rounds of testing and fine-tuning, the final design was ready for prototyping. Today, these custom knobs are manufactured in Spain and proudly feature on Stam Audio’s equipment, offering both functionality and a distinct signature look that reflects Stam Audio’s commitment to excellence.
